BPSC 71st CCE Eligibility Criteria 2025

If you’re planning to apply for the BPSC 71st Combined Competitive Examination (CCE) 2025, it’s important to check if you meet all the eligibility criteria—especially the educational qualifications and age requirements.

Educational Qualification

For Preliminary Exam:
You must have a Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent qualification from a recognized university.

For Financial Administrative Officer (FAO) & Similar Posts:
You need a Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Economics, Mathematics, or Statistics from a recognized university or institution.

Special Note for Age Calculation:
For the Cooperative Extension Officer (Serial No. 06), age will be calculated from 1st August 2015.

The date of birth mentioned on your matriculation certificate will be accepted as official proof.

Age Relaxation

  • Bihar Government Employees: Up to 5 attempts allowed, with 5 years relaxation in the upper age limit (if all 5 attempts are not already used).
  • Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD): Eligible for an additional 10 years of age relaxation.
  • Ex-Servicemen: Eligible for 3 years plus the number of years served in defense. But your actual age on the application day must be less than 57 years.
  • NCC Cadets/Instructors (joined after Jan 1, 1963): The years of NCC service can be subtracted from your age, but only if the result does not exceed the age limit by more than 3 years.

Health & Medical Examination

After the interview, all selected candidates will undergo a medical examination by a board.

  • For roles like Police, District Commandant, Jail Superintendent, physical standards from Appendix A will apply.

  • For 71st CCE and FAO:
    Total Marks = 900 (Mains) + 120 (Interview) = 1020

Tie-Breaking Rules:

  1. Higher marks in the Main Exam
  2. Higher marks in Optional Subject
  3. Older age (as per date of birth)
  4. Alphabetical order of name (Devanagari script)

How to Apply for BPSC 71st CCE 2025

Follow these simple steps:

Step 1: One-Time Registration (OTR)

  • Go to the BPSC portal and click on “New User Registration”.
  • Provide a valid email and mobile number.
  • Even old users must register again on the new portal.

Step 2: Link Digilocker (Optional)

  • After OTR, you can link your documents through Digilocker.
  • If not, use the Back button to return to the application portal.

Step 3: Complete Your Profile (6 Steps)

  1. Personal Information
  2. Address Details
  3. Other Info (Legal cases, if any)
  4. Qualification (from 10th onward)
  5. Work Experience (if any)
  6. Upload photo/signature and lock profile

You’ll need a live webcam photo and a signature image in JPG/JPEG (Max 15 KB).

Step 4: Apply & Pay Fees

  • Go to “New Advertisement Tab” and apply for the relevant post.
  • Pay the fees and then go to “My Account” to print your application.

❗ If you make a mistake, cancel and apply again. But fees will not be refunded.

Step 5: Upload Documents & Print Final Form

  • Keep documents in PDF format (Max 100KB) ready for upload.
  • Your final form will include the Application ID, Number, and Bar Code.
    Print two copies for your records.
