Group C Recruitment Process After CET
Once the CET results are announced, the recruitment process for Group C posts will move to the next step. Here’s a simple breakdown of how the process works:
Advertisement for Group C Vacancies
After the CET scores are released, the Haryana Staff Selection Commission (HSSC) will release official job notifications for the available Group C posts.
These notifications will include:
- The list of job roles available
- The exam pattern
- The syllabus
- Full details of the skill test and/or written test
Application for Specific Posts
Candidates who have qualified in the CET and appear on the merit list will be invited to apply online.
If they are interested in any of the posts listed, they can apply and appear for the skill test and/or written exam as mentioned in the job notice.
Shortlisting of Candidates for Skill/Written Test
For each post, only a limited number of candidates will be selected to appear in the next round.
- Usually, up to 10 times the number of vacancies will be shortlisted.
- If multiple candidates have the same CET cut-off score, all of them will be allowed to move forward, even if it exceeds the 10-times limit.
Common Skill or Written Test for Similar Posts
If some job roles have the same required qualification and similar pay levels, then HSSC may conduct a common test (skill/written) for all those posts.
This makes the process easier and faster for both the commission and the candidates.
Minimum Marks to Pass Skill/Written Test
To qualify for the skill or written test, candidates must score at least:
- 50% marks if they belong to the General Category
- 40% marks if they belong to any Reserved Category (like SC, ST, OBC, etc.)
Final Selection Process
After the tests are completed, HSSC will prepare a final selection list based on how well candidates performed in the written or skill test.
Only those who meet the qualifying marks and rank high in the merit list will be selected for the job.
