| Educational Qualification ◾Candidates must have passed Class 12 under the 10+2 education system, or an equivalent exam conducted by a recognized State Education Board or University. ◾For Air Force and Naval Wings of NDA, and 10+2 Cadet Entry Scheme at the Indian Naval Academy: Applicants must have passed Class 12 with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as subjects, following the 10+2 pattern of school education, or an equivalent examination recognized by a State Board or University. | |
| ⚫Salary Stipend During Training All male and female cadets will receive a monthly stipend of Rs. 56,100/- during their entire training period at the Indian Military Academy (IMA) or any other service academy. This amount is the starting basic pay under Pay Level 10. UPSC NDA 2025 Salary Structure Here is the rank-wise salary structure for officers after completion of training: From Lieutenant to Major: ▪Lieutenant (Lt): Pay Level 10 – Rs. 56,100 to Rs. 1,77,500 ▪Captain (Capt): Pay Level 10B – Rs. 61,300 to Rs. 1,93,900 ▪Major (Maj): Pay Level 11 – Rs. 69,400 to Rs. 2,07,200 ▪From Lieutenant Colonel to Major General: ▪Lieutenant Colonel (Lt Col): Pay Level 12A – Rs. 1,21,200 to Rs. 2,12,400 ▪Colonel (Col): Pay Level 13 – Rs. 1,30,600 to Rs. 2,15,900 ▪Brigadier (Brig): Pay Level 13A – Rs. 1,39,600 to Rs. 2,17,600 ▪Major General (Maj Gen): Pay Level 14 – Rs. 1,44,200 to Rs. 2,18,200 ▪For Lieutenant General and Higher Ranks: ▪Lt General (HAG Scale): Pay Level 15 – Rs. 1,82,200 to Rs. 2,24,100 ▪Lt General (HAG+ Scale): Pay Level 16 – Rs. 2,05,400 to Rs. 2,24,400 ▪Vice Chief of Army Staff (VCOAS) / Army Commander / Lt Gen (Special Grade): ▪Fixed Pay – Rs. 2,25,000 (Pay Level 17) ▪Chief of the Army Staff (COAS): ▪Fixed Pay – Rs. 2,50,000 (Pay Level 18) Military Service Pay (MSP) All officers from the rank of Lieutenant to Brigadier will receive an extra fixed amount of Rs. 15,500/- per month as Military Service Pay. | |
